  6. Installing Video for Windows  
  7. ============================  
  8.   
  9. The Cars on CD '96 contains video clips of several 
  10. manufacturers prototype cars. In order to display these videos 
  11. your Windows system requires video support software. On the 
  12. CD in the directory VFW11e is the most recent RUNTIME 
  13. version available through Microsoft of Video for Windows. To 
  14. install select SETUP from the VWF11e directory and follow the 
  15. instructions on screen.

  18. system please refer to the readme.txt file in the VWF11e 
  19. directory.

  25. If your system is equipped with a quadruple speed CD-ROM 
  26. drive, select, from the ABOUT THIS CD menu, the 4X function. 
  27. You will play video sequences of greater quality.

  30. Installing WinG  
  31. ===============

  33. WinG is a Microsoft software product that can improve the  
  34. graphics performance of multimedia applications running on  
  35. Windows. Although it is not necessary to install WinG, The Cars 
  36. on CD '96 has build in support for it which may increase the  
  37. performance of the graphic displays. To install select SETUP 
  38. from the WING directory and follow the instructions on screen.

  44. Trouble Shooting  
  45. ================

  47. If the CD does not seem the be functioning properly verify that  
  48. your system meets the minimum requirements identified on the  
  49. packaging.

  51. The Cars on CD '96 program requires 5MB of free memory. 
  52. Close all other Windows applications prior to executing the Cars 
  53. on CD '96 software.

  57. If the graphics seem altered, select a 640 x 480 resolution in 
  58. 256 colours mode and deactivate the video optimization 
  59. functions. (Consult your manufacturers manual to accomplish 
  60. these changes).

  66. For user systems running Windows version 3.1 or 3.11, it may 
  67. be possible to increase the performance of the Cars on CD æ96 
  68. video clips. Execute the program by typing,
